Yukon Hospitals is now posting real-time wait times online for the Whitehorse General Hospital outpatient lab (walk-in bloodwork and other lab tests) in effort to enhance the patient experience.
Sharing information such as wait times is part of our priority focus on “telling our story” and helping the people we care for make informed decisions and better prepare when they come to the hospital. Ultimately, the goal is to reduce some of the uncertainty and frustration with waiting – and improve the overall experience.
Wait times are posted at the top of our website.
While lab wait times are available, plans are in the works to add other walk-in services like the Emergency Department and X-ray soon. Stay tuned.
We are committed to the people we care for and our communities. Through this commitment, we will listen and engage people as partners in their care. This new wait time tracker is a direct result of feedback from the people we care for and community. Yukoners have told us that information on expected or estimated wait times would be very helpful.

We encourage people to not delay accessing the hospital care they need. For urgent care, don’t hesitate to go to the hospital. Always call 911 in an emergency.
