Ultrasound

How it Works

Inaudible sound waves are emitted from a transducer, allowing the sonographer to look at internal structures and assess organ function. The sound wave echoes are picked up and displayed on a computer screen.

All ultrasound exams require a written requisition from your physician’s office to be sent directly to our Medical Imaging Department.

Our sonographers perform a wide range of procedures with ultrasounds, including:

  • Abdominal
  • Pelvic
