Whitehorse – As Canadians were celebrating this year’s National Aboriginal Day with events all over the country, First Nations Health Programs (FNHP) at Whitehorse General Hospital (WGH) organized an event of their own. Staff members from FNHP hosted a free lunch in the hospital’s cafeteria, featuring meatloaf made from moose meat. The group also decorated the café with banners and gave away prizes to hospital staff during the event.
National Aboriginal Day is a holiday created to celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples of Canada.
