Meals & Snacks at DCCH

Patients can expect well-balanced and nutritious food, while staying at Dawson City Community Hospital. Our patient menu is rotated on a continuous basis – and prepared by the food services team at the nearby McDonald Lodge – to serve fresh options that meet a wide variety of requirements, including special diets (vegetarian and diabetic, etc.).

Patient Meal Service

Patients are served three meals daily along with individualized snacks.

  • Breakfast – 8:30 am
  • Lunch – 12 pm
  • Dinner – 5 pm
  • Evening snack – 7:30 pm

Meals can be modified based on patient food preferences and allergies.

Patient Lounge

Our patient lounge, located in our inpatient unit, provides a bright, sunny atmosphere as well as a television and recreational material such as books, magazines and puzzles.
