Volunteer at the hospital

Make a difference, learn, grow and share as part of a dynamic and inspiring team that cares for Yukoners.

Volunteers are a valued part of the Yukon Hospitals team, providing compassionate service and giving time to create a positive hospital experience.

Our hospitals are now introducing volunteer opportunities at Whitehorse General Hospital and we have placements for volunteers to connect with patients, provide support for family members, offer directions and information, and ultimately, enrich the high quality care provided by our of professional staff.

Volunteering with Yukon’s hospitals is a commitment and it’s important to recognize the role and requirements for volunteers before you apply. Please take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions and review the application process to see if volunteering in the hospital is right for you.

From working directly with patients, to providing directions and helpful information about the hospital, we offer a variety of opportunities for those who wish to make a difference through volunteerism. Please refer to the Volunteer Opportunities for more information about volunteer roles.

Thank you for considering volunteering with us and making each day brighter!
