Laboratory Services

Located on upper level

The Watson Lake Community Hospital lab performs a variety of routine, urgent and emergency testing that support your caregivers by helping to diagnose and determine the best course of treatment. All lab tests must be ordered by a physician.

The WLCH lab is open Monday - Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for outpatient bookings. For inpatients, a combined lab/x-ray technologist is on-site from Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Register at the Admitting & Discharge reception desk located in the hospital’s main lobby.

The WLCH lab may also collect specimens for all other blood tests that need to be sent to the lab at Whitehorse General Hospital or to a facility outside the territory for processing.
