Send well wishes to a friend or family member who is currently a patient at Whitehorse General Hospital


You've Got Mail offers a convenient way to brighten a patient’s day by sending an email.

Simply email patientmail@wgh.yk.ca to send well wishes to a friend or loved one. You must include the patient's full legal name, unit and room number with your message. 

Your message will be printed, sealed and hand delivered to the patient by a registered volunteer or nurse. Patients are unable to send a response through this service. Messages will be delivered as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.


Please note:

  • All messages are confidential.
  • No outgoing reply or confirmation will be provided, and we cannot and will not confirm a patient is admitted in hospital.
  • Emails received after the intended recipient is no longer in hospital are not delivered and will be deleted.
  • This system is for well wishes only. Any other type of message (vendor/business solicitation, personal business, questionable or inappropriate content) will be deleted.
