Our Project Office is overseeing the expansion of Whitehorse General Hospital, managing the planning, procurement, team collaboration, and other day-to-day activities to ensure the project goes smoothly. Our support staff, nurses and physicians provide expertise to ensure the project meets the needs of caregivers and patients.
Project Management Team
The project management team has many years of health care and construction project experience. They provide project management expertise and work closely with hospital and medical staff to design and build a facility that meets high standards.
Hospital and Medical Staff
Key leaders from our patient care, facilities, operations, and hospital administration teams, have been actively involved in determining needs and setting specifications. These individuals seek input from their internal teams in these areas, and share this information with the project management team.
The community is a key part of the project and as such many local stakeholders have been involved in the project from the very beginning. Business leaders, companies and specialized trades have taken part in a number of events to ensure as many Yukoners as possible are able to participate in the project. The hospital also invited First Nations communities and general public to share feedback on design elements in the new hospital wing as well as provide comments on how to make the new emergency department more patient and family friendly. This ensures the needs of Yukoners are reflected in this new health facility.
